Honda Civic Alternator Fuse Keeps Blowing - Wallpaper Database. Hi all,,, i have a sudden problem. So it can be hard to tell whether you have an alternator with a blown fuse or an issue with your battery.

Fuse 4 (10a) powers the alternator and several other things, including the air/fuel ratio sensor relay, camshaft position sensor, evaporative emissions valves, and cruise control. I have not had the alternator tested but would a bad alt make the fuse blow before the car was running.
I am blowing a fuse. I have a 98 civic 3 door. Alternator fuse blows i have a 96 honda civic dx 1.6l sohc. It turns out that i kept blowing my fuse because of the way i had been connecting the wire to the b+ post on the alternator. Ask your own honda question. My son’s honda civic keeps periodically blowing the #4 fuse under the dash (alternator). I have a 2000 civic si, and everytime i go to crank the car the alternator fuse blows. The 7.5 amp fuse is the speed sensor fuse (under the steering wheel fuse box) but its also written alternator on the fuse panel. The issue was wiring rubbing and shorting against an intake support bracket, causing the fuse to blow. Thats the fuse that keeps blowing not the 80 amp one under. Are you fixing your civic yourself?
